The University of Miami has embarked on the long-anticipated construction of its new Football Indoor Practice Facility. Lemartec has been awarded the prime construction management contract. The 81,850 SF pre-engineered metal facility will feature two fields directly connecting to the Squillante Strength and Conditioning Center. The PEMB is a clear span ridge frame with a vertical clearance of 55’-0” and a reinforced concrete foundation.
The project also includes a 20,000 square-foot football operations center with a mezzanine level housing coaches’ offices, meeting rooms, and a recruiting suite, with views overlooking the indoor fields, as well as a state-of-the-art video center.
The project is currently pursuing LEED v4 BD+C NC certification.
